Charleston Bonnet

Ask anyone in the know in Charleston and you'll be sure to hear about its famous bonnet. For more than a century baby girls in the holy city have worn the bonnet. Many proud parents would take their daughters for a stroll after church or before a big Sunday brunch so everyone could admire them and the girls would wear the bonnet with its broad brim to protect their faces from the scorching lowcountry heat. Now many parents like the bonnet for special occasions such as Easter or family portraits.

The bonnet is made from 100% organdy and is hand-stitched. You have a choice between a pink or a white liner (the underside of the brim), and there is also a drawstring in the back that can be let out or tightened. Below is a sizing chart.
