The ladies at 82 Church hand-make all the dresses on our turn-of-the-century sewing machines. This in itself makes them very special and timeless, but then they add something extra to them. Smocking is a decoration for dresses of small, regularly spaced gathers stitched into a honeycomb pattern.

The Smockery has reason to believe that we are the only children's clothing company in the entire country that smocks dresses this way.
